  I am Markus Oosterhoudt from the Netherlands some years ago i did found out, that my ancestors,a part of them did cross the sea to near to the Hudson river FL. They settled there in around 1650 17 century ans started there a place called New Amsterdam. The reasson they left the Netherlands because of the time and struggle arround the reformation in oure country. years ago i did find a picture of a gravestone with the name Oosterhoudt on it. So maybe my last name has a connection to this all, and is the NW Oosterhoudt Lane is linked to it. I dont have many fam here in the Netherlands, but around Ulster there are allot of people with last name as my last name. Thanks for reading.
